Description
Used to contain chemical compounds when heating to very high temperatures. Lids are typically loose-fitting to allow gases to escape. Nickel crucibles are used in assays involving NaOH or Na2O2, which would severely attack porcelain. Highly resistant to alkalis and can be used at temperatures up to 600’C.
