Description
Verifies Coulomb’s Law of the Force Between Charges by Direct Measurement. Suspend one sphere from the top of a box, rest the other on the bottom. Bring them together and the hanging sphere deflects from the other. Students precisely measure deflection with an easy-to-read ruler, and so calculate the force. A mirror assures accuracy by eliminating parallax. The apparatus is fully assembled and self-contained.
